What does Jacquemoud & Stanislas look like today?
Philippe Jacquemoud: We employ around 30 people, 25 or 26 of whom bill to clients. Our work covers four areas: transactions, infrastructure and real estate, arbitration and litigation, and health law. We have always aimed to excel in our respective niches while offering cross-practice services, and we cultivate a young, curious, dynamic team culture.
How did technology work at the firm before Whisperit?
Philippe Jacquemoud: Until late 2022 we worked in the traditional way, with the Microsoft Office suite and an external document-management system in the cloud. All of it met high security standards: an absolute necessity in our profession, but not a differentiator.
If you had a magic wand for one step of your workflow?
Philippe Jacquemoud: The magic wand today is Whisperit. It saves a great deal of time on repetitive tasks while letting us concentrate on the essential, and it helps us snapshot voluminous case files quickly to position ourselves on complex configurations.
What does the document load look like before a hearing?
Arnaud Nussbaumer: For an arbitration hearing three weeks away, we had around 500 documents to analyse. We opened a case in Whisperit, imported them, and could ask precise questions: identify the witnesses, find their mentions in the exchanges, analyse emails and messages. That manual sorting used to take up to five days.
Tell us about Whisperit as a sparring partner.
Arnaud Nussbaumer: We first saw Whisperit as a time-saver, but it turned out to be a real analyst. When preparing a hearing, I compare my own lists of questions with the ones it generates and ask it to challenge certain choices.
