Lawyers are among the most skilled professionals in the world. Yet they spend a disproportionate amount of their day on work that has nothing to do with law — dictating the same sentence three times, hunting through email threads for a single attachment, reformatting documents that should write themselves. I built Whisperit to give that time back.
I have spent years working at the intersection of technology and professional services in Switzerland. What struck me, again and again, was the gap between how much lawyers know and how little of their day is spent applying that knowledge. Administrative overhead was not a minor inconvenience — it was eating hours that should belong to clients.
The first version of Whisperit was a dictation tool. Simple, fast, legal-vocabulary-aware. Lawyers loved it immediately. But the more time we spent with them — in their offices, watching their workflows, sitting in on case reviews — the more we understood that dictation was just the beginning. What they needed was a complete AI workspace: one that understood their cases, their documents, their language, and their professional obligations.
“The law does not need to be disrupted. Lawyers need tools that respect their expertise and give them time back to do what they do best.”
Privacy was non-negotiable from day one. Lawyer-client privilege is not a compliance checkbox — it is the foundation of the entire profession. That meant Swiss hosting, end-to-end encryption, zero data training on client content, and full transparency about how AI is applied. We built every feature around that constraint, not as an afterthought.
Today, Whisperit is used by hundreds of lawyers across Switzerland and beyond — solo practitioners, boutique firms, notaries, and in-house legal teams. Every week I hear from users who have recovered hours they had written off as the cost of doing business. A lawyer in Geneva who now dictates case summaries from the tram. A notary in Zurich who prepares meeting notes in minutes, not an hour. A litigation partner who can search ten years of case files in seconds.
We built Whisperit on a simple principle: your data is yours, your conversations are confidential, and the AI works for you — not the other way around. Every document you create stays on Swiss servers. None of it ever trains our models. That is not a feature — it is a commitment.
If you want to talk about where we are headed, or just share how Whisperit is working for your practice, I would genuinely love to hear from you.
